Rev. Sarah Schurr

How I Learned About my White Fragility

As we at the UUA work to dismantle the culture of white supremacy that is all around us, many of us have had to face our own White Fragility. How has a belief that racism is something “those bad people” do kept many of us from seeing real problems that we need to address? Rev. Sarah Schurr is our primary contact from the Pacific Western Region of the UUA. In this sermon she will share some of her learning journey on this important topic.

Hope: a Message for Easter

Is hope just a platitude that keeps us from noticing bad times, or is hope actually part of the solution when things are tough? Our guest
minister, Rev. Sarah Schurr, will take a look at the subject of hope, especially hope in this Easter season. Rev. Sarah works for the Pacific Western Region of the Unitarian Universalist Association, is based in Portland, and is our congregation’s primary contact from the UUA.
