FocUUs on History: The Tale of Beatrix Potter

If you have visited our sanctuary, you have probably noticed the short bio of Beatrix Potter displayed by the door of our RE room. UUGP member Teresa will give us a peek into the life of this remarkable Unitarian – writer, artist, would-be scientist, business woman, conservationist, and breeder of sheep.

Dearly Departed

Together we’ll remember and reflect upon people near, dear and notable whose lives concluded in 2022, and celebrate their legacies. We’ll light candles; we’ll sing; we’ll laugh; we may cry; and we will mourn together those we have lost.

Merry Christmas! (Zoom)

Let’s gather this Christmas morning for fellowship, songs, stories, and a recorded holiday message from our intern minister, QuianaDenae.

Lady of Guadalupe

In this season of miracles, UUGP member Karen Tate will lead us in exploring the herstory and heritage of Our Lady of Guadalupe, an example of the Sacred Feminine. Guadalupe, Our Lady of Miracles, comes from a long line of “epiphany” goddesses heralding the flowering of humanity.

The Angels in Our Lives (Zoom)

We sing – or hear sung – “Angels we have heard on high,” during this holiday time. But of course, we UUs don’t believe in angels, do we? Or perhaps we just don’t recognize them. What might an angel look like? What might it have to say to us?

What Are We Growing?

The UU World is all abuzz with the 8th principle and Article II Study Commission, What does all of this mean? What do the principles mean to our faith? What would it mean to adopt the 8th principle or the Article II Study Commission? Join QuianaDenae and SOUUP for a garden walk to consider, What Are We Growing? (Note: this service will be livestreamed via YouTube)

We Stand in Your Shadow (Zoom)

November is a hard month, with a great deal of cultural and emotional energy in the air. Pastor QuianaDenae will be holding the contrast of Native American Heritage Month alongside the celebration of Thanksgiving. November 20 is Transgender Day of Remembrance, such a tender time. How do we hold all this? How do we live our faith in authentic ways? In this service, Pastor QuianaDenae will discuss how she is navigating this complexity and offering some ways to collectively move forward.

For the Beauty of the Earth

The natural world delights our senses, feeds our spirits, and inspires our care. Sustainable Rogue Valley members will share personal stories about caring for the earth as spiritual practice.
