An Atheist Embalmer Prays for Pope Francis

Whether God will hear my prayer for Pope Francis, I don’t know. But we will, and maybe the pope himself will view the video of it I intend to post and send. My story, from Catholic to embalmer to minister, will help set up my sincere prayer for the only pope I’ve ever admired.

Flor y Canto Easter Sunday

Flor y Canto uplifts ‘flower and song’ with a remarkable Mayan Easter story, grounded in history. And our flower communion honors EARTH DAY this special weekend. Bring fresh flowers or greenery if easy to do, and don your Easter bonnet, cap or hat.

Evolving Compassion

Postponed from February by snow in the passes, Katie will connect the age-old dialog between science and religion with new behavioral and brain science. We we warmly welcome her back with us.

Singing Into Wonder

Through personal observations and his original songs, Chip will share with us how music plays such a powerful and positive role in helping us tell our stories, examine our lives, explore new ideas, and connect more deeply with ourselves and others.
Outreach gifts benefit Planned Parenthood, and nonperishable grocery items are invited for the Food Bank.

The Healing Forest

In this season of spring, we’ll explore spiritual ecology and find inspiration for our own renewal in forests and their power to regenerate life. Our pulpit guest is Program Coordinator of the Siskiyou Field Institute.

Simple Days and Splendid Ways

Drinking green beer on Saint Patrick’s Day isn’t exactly religious, but his story has become an excuse to party. Excuses to party are built into the holidays of secular and religious calendars alike. What special days serve you? This light-hearted service will welcome spring.
