In this season of harvest when we gather our bounty of foods, we reap also the goodness of our lives, our fellowship, our technologies, and our time in history. Let’s amplify our gratitude or this abundant bounty. Using all from scripture to brain science, let’s celebrate and augment the goodness we’re made of and for.

Fred Keip will use the “This I Believe” design by Rev. Sarah Schurr (of our Pacific Western Region staff), posing Big Questions that invite thinking about how I live my life and how I know what I know. We envision a series, inviting many of us, to explore and share their faith journeys.

Honoring Indigenous People’s Day

Phil Hughes-Luing and his friend, Anya Stewart, will present the various “medicines”–aka wisdom–taught to our indigenous people by the native animals with whom they shared this land. Anya will read her story “Crow and The Talking Sticks” and display the illustrations she created for it.

Following the service the board will host an informational meeting regarding our revised 2018-2021 UUGP Strategic Plan.

It was one year ago this Sunday that Freebo stopped here on tour and highlighted our very first service in a building of our own. Welcome him back with us this morning.

Forgiveness

We carry our grudges around on our backs, so bent over we can’t straighten up to see the world around us. This delightful service will help us forgive our enemies and ourselves in a skit, stories and discussion.
