Blue Zone Grants Pass is dedicated to making Grants Pass a healthier, happier place to live, work, learn and play. Cort Cox, Engagement Lead, will speak with us about what it means to be a Blue Zones community.
Outreach Offering will aid the Illinois Valley Family Coalition.
Nonperishable foods will be collected in the Food Bank box by the Women’s Roundtable.

This I Believe

She will briefly share some history of her faith journey, with a focus on the key things that motivate her life today, including her community service and passion for landscaping. “Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself,” including the flora and fauna that share our planet.
Our outreach offering today benefits the Women’s Crisis Support Team.

Oregon, My Oregon

We live in a paradise. Our state is famous for its beauty and its liberal politics. We’ve got it great!…or do we? Where did we get our liberal reputation and do we live up to it? Katie is executive director of Oregon Unitarian Universalist Voices for Justice, and believes that social justice and Unitarian Universalism are made for each other. Welcome her back with us this morning!

Beyond the Village

What is our role in nurturing families in our community for the health and well being of our future? Amy is a licensed midwife on staff at Rogue Birth Center a midwife-run water-birth center here in Grants Pass. She’s a mother herself, and a true storyteller.

One School’s Journey

Sunny Wolf Charter School was started in 2010. Penny is the principal and will share with us about the school’s creation, success, and what this means for education.
Outreach Offering is for Homeless Teen Backpack Project, plus the Food Bank box collected by the Women’s Roundtable.

More important than the myth of Eden is the actual Life on Earth it refers to. Only recently have we learned how old Earth is, how slowly life evolved, how interdependent and vulnerable it is. Outreach offering aids our homeless teen backpack program.

Envisioning Options

Options is a 36-year-old nonprofit group that became the community mental health program for Josephine County in 2006; it offers a wide array of programs for all ages, including crisis intervention. Ellen is Options’ development director.

Paradise is a Garden

From the Persian oasis, the Italian walled gardens, expansive green lawns and now when we invite the bees to our gardens and include nearby native plants, our relationship with nature has always been entwined with our views of spirituality. We’ll explore this trip through the history of landscaping followed by a flower communion. Bring flowers and greenery from your garden to share and we’ll celebrate spring’s colorful abundance. Please wear your fancy Easter bonnet!
